HP Tablet off the Shelves After 4 Days


Hewlett Packard announced yesterday that the all new HP TouchPad, that went on sale in Harvey Norman stores on Monday the 15th of August for between $499 and $599, are being pulled from the market.

An official statement from Hewlett Packard indicated that it would "discontinue operations for WebOS devices, specifically the TouchPad and WebOS Phones."

Fake Apple Stores in China

China has always been home to a large counterfeit market and now it has gone to a whole new level with the counterfetiting of not just products, but entire fake Apple stores selling genuine Apple products.

As it turns out, this discovery was not made by Apple staff but from an American blogger who started talking about a fake Apple store that was so realistic that some of the staff genuinely believed that they were employed by Apple.

Google buys Motorola Mobility

Last week it was reported that Google stepped up its smartphone business with the acquisition of Motorola for the hefty price of $US12.5bn.

Thiis purchase sees Googl get a firm grip on the mobile marketplace on the back of its increasingly popular Android platform, which is currently used in selected HTC and Samsung devices.

iOS5 Supports Flash Video

As more and more browsers are released using the HTML 5 standard there has been a huge push for low bandwidth, high user experience websites.

One of the slowest elements of web over the past 10 years has been the use of large flash items for the content of a page.

This type of webpage has a couple of drawbacks with the main one being that there is not text on the page, thus there is no SEO for the site.
